Privacy Policy

This policy explains how United Patient Advocate collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, upload a medical bill, request a review, contact us, or receive email communications.

Effective June 24, 2026

United Patient Advocate provides independent medical billing review and dispute-documentation support. We collect only the information needed to operate the service, prepare your review, communicate with you, process access, improve the product, and measure advertising performance.

1. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to United Patient Advocate websites, landing pages, upload and intake flows, preview pages, checkout handoffs, dashboards, downloadable materials, contact links, email forms, and related support communications.

This policy does not cover websites, payment processors, advertising platforms, email providers, or other services that we do not control. Those services may have their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the service, United Patient Advocate may collect:

  • Contact information, such as your email address and any name you choose to enter.
  • Billing-review information, such as provider name, insurer or payer name, date of service, account or reference number, bill amount, service details, concerns, state, and answers submitted through intake or questionnaire forms.
  • Uploaded files, such as medical bills, itemized statements, explanations of benefits, denial notices, or other billing documents you choose to provide.
  • Generated review data, such as extracted line items, possible review areas, benchmark matches for eligible laboratory codes, prepared letters, scripts, action steps, dashboard status, and downloadable packet contents.
  • Purchase and access information, such as license verification status, transaction identifiers received from payment or license systems, and case access identifiers used to retrieve your saved review.
  • Technical information, such as browser type, device type, pages visited, referring source, URL parameters, event timestamps, cookie or local storage identifiers, IP-derived general location, and basic diagnostic logs.

3. Uploaded Medical Bills and Health-Related Information

Uploaded medical bills and insurance documents may contain health-related, financial, insurance, and personal information. You should upload only documents you are authorized to provide and only when you want United Patient Advocate to use them for your billing review.

We use uploaded documents to extract visible bill details, prepare your review, generate educational dispute materials, persist your case for access after checkout, support your use of the dashboard, and troubleshoot service issues when needed.

United Patient Advocate does not claim to be your healthcare provider, insurer, or legal representative. We do not use uploaded bills to provide medical advice, legal advice, insurance advice, or financial advice.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Operate the upload, intake, preview, checkout, dashboard, and packet workflows.
  • Prepare billing-review summaries, letters, scripts, checklists, timelines, and downloadable materials.
  • Store and retrieve a case when a buyer returns through a valid access flow.
  • Respond to support requests and contact form submissions.
  • Send transactional, support, product, or email-list communications when you provide an email address.
  • Measure site visits, checkout starts, purchase unlocks, source attribution, ad performance, and product reliability.
  • Debug errors, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve the service.

We do not sell uploaded medical bills.

5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

United Patient Advocate may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to keep the product working, remember case state, store temporary or returning-user access details, attribute traffic sources, avoid duplicate tracking events, and improve the experience.

We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with the site, which pages are used, where visitors came from, and whether key events such as checkout starts or verified purchase unlocks occur. Analytics information may include device, browser, URL, referrer, timestamps, and event names.

6. Google Ads and Advertising Measurement

United Patient Advocate may use Google Ads, Google tags, conversion tracking, remarketing, or related advertising tools to measure ad performance and understand whether ads lead to visits, checkout activity, or verified purchase unlocks.

Google may use cookies or similar technologies to provide measurement, attribution, fraud prevention, ad personalization where enabled, and reporting. You can manage some Google advertising preferences through your Google account and browser settings.

Advertising measurement helps us understand campaign performance. It does not change the contents of your billing review.

7. Email Communications

If you submit your email address, United Patient Advocate may use it to send review access information, support replies, refund or service communications, scanner or intake follow-up, product updates, and marketing emails when permitted.

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails when available. Transactional or support messages related to a purchase, access issue, refund request, or active support matter may still be sent when needed.

8. Service Providers and Limited Sharing

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help operate United Patient Advocate, including website hosting, serverless infrastructure, case storage, payment processing, license verification, artificial intelligence processing, analytics, advertising measurement, email delivery, and support tools.

These providers are used to deliver the service, process payments or access, store and retrieve case data, analyze submitted content, send communications, measure performance, and maintain reliability. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and security, or to prevent misuse of the service.

Payment information is handled by the payment processor. United Patient Advocate does not need to store full card numbers to provide the service.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, support access to a purchased review, respond to requests, maintain records, troubleshoot issues, measure performance, and comply with operational or legal obligations.

Saved case records may be retained for a limited period so a buyer can return to the dashboard and retrieve their review. Browser storage remains on your device until it is cleared by you, your browser, or the application.

10. Your Choices

You can choose not to upload a document, not to submit optional information, or not to provide an email address, but some features may not work without the information needed to run them.

You can clear cookies or browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may remove saved case state, source attribution, or access details stored on your device.

You may contact us to ask questions about privacy, request help with your information, or request deletion of information associated with your case where reasonably possible.

11. Security

United Patient Advocate uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, upload process, transmission, storage system, or email communication can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

Please use care when uploading documents, opening links, storing access details, and sharing information by email.

12. Children

United Patient Advocate is intended for adults handling medical billing matters. The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as United Patient Advocate changes. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
